Ume will premiere the new music video for their single “Run Wild” next week on mtvU. “Run Wild” is the current single off of the band’s current album Phantoms (Modern Outsider Records).
Ume recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to help raise funds for the recording of their new album with producer Adam Kasper (Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Cat Power). In less than 24 hours, the band exceeded their goal. Fans can still contribute to the Kickstarter campaign which offers prizes like a meal with the band at Austin’s Barley Swine (where the band taped their episode of Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations), music lessons with the band over Skype, a digital recording of any cover song and more.

Ume hits the road this fall with Helmet and the Toadies starting October 18th in Houston. Prior to the tour, the band will play two SOLD OUT shows supporting Smashing Pumpkins this Thursday September 27th at Stubb’s in the band’s hometown of Austin and Friday September 28th at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa.
