HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET opens September 21st. I’ve attached some additional information about the “Escape the House” app and the film below, let me know if you’ll be able to share with your readers.

MORE ABOUT THE APP

Available for free in the iTunes store, this haunting, immersive mobile experience features a crazed killer who traps players in a dark basement from which they must escape.  Utilizing binaural sound technology, B-Reel has created a frightening game of hide-and-seek in which players navigate their way through a pitch-black labyrinth to safety.

An intuitive, minimal interface provides users with clear instructions on when to tap, shake, rotate or shout into their iPhone in order to survive their ordeal. Just like in the movies, loud noises can grab the attention of the killer, so players must silently make their way up the basement stairs or risk being recaptured.   The excitement builds as the killer closes in and corners his victims in various eerie scenarios.

Part game, part social media, Escape The House – a 3D Sound Experience rewards successful escapees with a bonus sound trailer custom created from their experience and screams that can be shared on Facebook.

ABOUT HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET

The film will be released in theatres nationwide on September 21 and follows newly divorced Sarah (Oscar®-nominee Elisabeth Shue; Leaving Las Vegas, Piranha 3D) who is seeking a fresh start with her daughter Elissa (Oscar®-nominee Jennifer Lawrence; The Hunger Games, X-Men: First Class) when they find the house of their dreams in a small, upscale, rural town.

But when startling and unexplainable events begin to happen, Sarah and Elissa learn the town is in the shadows of a chilling secret. Years earlier, in the house next door, a daughter killed her parents in their beds, and disappeared – leaving only a brother, Ryan (Max Thieriot, My Soul to Take), as the sole survivor.  Against Sarah’s wishes, Elissa begins a relationship with the reclusive Ryan – and the closer they get, the deeper they’re all pulled into a mystery more dangerous than they ever imagined.
