While Lady Gaga had originally planned to announce the title of her upcoming album in September but didn’t want to keep fans waiting.
Friday, the mega-popstar tweeted an instagram photo of herself sporting a new tattoo, along with the caption: “new ink new album.”, which reads ARTPOP. She took to Twitter over the weekend to confirm that the ink is indeed the name of her 2013 album release. “Make sure when writing about my new album/project ARTPOP that you CAPITALIZE the title, *its all in the details* good morning twitter!” she wrote on Sunday.
Gaga has been making time to record ARTPOP while on her Born This Way tour. She reportedly enlisted the help of Whitesnake guitarist Doug Aldrich for the album. The twosome hit the studio with Gaga’s longtime collaborator DJ White Shadow in Los Angeles.
